Local CDL Driver w/Hazmat

About the role

We are hiring a CDL A Driver in Sparks, NV! The ideal candidate will contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company provided tractor trailer, straight, or box truck.
• Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders & supplies.
• Nurture courteous & professional relationships with customers.
• Safely secure and unsecure cylinders.
• Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years.
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years.
• Able to work in a drug-free environment.
• Able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
• One (1) year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.

Qualifications

Pay

$28-$31 per hour, depending on experience!
