About the role

Airgas is hiring a Local CDL Delivery Driver to operate a Class B Hazmat vehicle, delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes in Ardmore, OK.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class B Hazmat vehicle delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods on established routes.
• Collect empty cylinders from customers.
• Record transactions and obtain signatures.
• Address customer inquiries and ensure satisfaction.
• Handle loading and unloading of products.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle checks, noting issues and ensuring safety compliance.
• Maintain a professional appearance and keep the vehicle clean.
• Serve as a customer ambassador: primary point of contact, handle customer orders, resolve service complaints, build relationships.
• Safely load, transport, and unload products from company‑provided straight or box truck, adhering to DOT and company regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and keep the truck ready for daily routes.
• Lift 25‑75 lbs routinely and up to 125+lbs with material handling equipment; frequently bend, walk, stand, and drive up to 8 hours a day handling hazardous cargo.

Requirements

• At least one full year of Class A or B CDL driving experience verifiable under DOT requirements within the past 5 years, or recent graduation from an accredited driving school.
• Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement, or ability to obtain Hazmat endorsement contingent on offer.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and minimum age of 21.
• Ability to meet physical demands: routinely lift 25‑75 lbs, up to 125+lbs with equipment; frequent bending, walking, standing, driving up to 8 hours a day with hazardous cargo.

Qualifications

Exceptional customer service skills and a proactive attitude are a plus.

Skills
