About the role

As a local CDL‑A truck driver in our Intermodal / Port Operations team, you will haul intermodal containers between the Bayport and Barbours Cut terminals and customer facilities. You’ll enjoy dedicated routes with no city driving, daily home time, and a supportive dispatch team that puts drivers first.

Responsibilities

• Haul intermodal containers locally.
• Service Bayport and Barbours Cut terminals.
• Run port‑to‑facility routes with no city driving.
• Operate assigned equipment and well‑maintained trucks (new automatic Peterbilt day cabs on company‑owned chassis).
• Maintain a stable operation with consistent freight and predictable routes.

• Collaborate with dispatch, customers, and fellow drivers to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of tractor‑trailer experience as a professional truck driver.
• Valid CDL‑A license.
• Valid TWIC card.
• Clean MVR and safe driving record.
• Live within 40 minutes of Baytown, TX.
• Ability to pass a road test and meet DOT requirements.
• Professional, dependable, and safety‑focused attitude.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service.
• Experience in port or intermodal operations is a plus.
• Effective communication skills with dispatch, customers, and fellow drivers.
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.

Pay

$28.00 per hour, translating to $1,300‑$1,400 weekly, plus the $1,500 sign‑on bonus and monthly safety bonuses. Top‑market pay with weekly direct deposit.

Schedule

• Home daily – Monday through Friday.
• 5:00 AM start time.
• 55‑65 hours per week.
• Local routes with consistent, steady hours year‑round.
