Position Overview
Join a stable, employee-owned building materials company delivering lumber and construction supplies to local customer sites. This is a full-time local driving role with steady year-round work, automatic transmission trucks, and no overnight routes. Drivers return home daily and work predictable construction-industry delivery schedules.
Compensation & Schedule
- $26.00 – $34.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Overtime is available where applicable

Responsibilities
- Deliver lumber and building materials to customer job sites and company locations
- Operate mostly flatbed trucks with automatic transmission
- Safely secure loads using straps, chains, binders, or covers
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Verify delivery paperwork and obtain required customer confirmations
- Communicate with dispatch and supervisors as needed using company-provided systems
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures
- Assist with unloading when required; many deliveries use forklift or roll-off methods
- Maintain professional and courteous interaction with customers and coworkers
Requirements
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Acceptable motor vehicle record meeting company safety standards
- Ability to safely secure and transport flatbed loads
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Commitment to safe driving practices and compliance with DOT requirements
- Prior delivery experience in building materials, flatbed hauling, or local route delivery
- Familiarity with load securement for construction materials
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to approximately 75 pounds when required
- Ability to safely secure cargo and work outdoors in varying conditions
- Must be able to perform all duties in compliance with company, local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Successfully pass DOT drug screening and physical examination
Qualifications
- Must maintain a valid CDL and safe driving record throughout employment
