Lobby Attendant

About the Role

The Lobby Attendant, under the direct supervision of the hotel's Executive Housekeeper, will maintain the public space areas of the hotel, some staff areas, and existing flooring materials to ensure a high level of cleanliness and appearance. This role focuses on creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, evaluate, and perform a cleaning and preventive maintenance program for all flooring surfaces of the hotel.
  • Stay updated on new cleaning procedures, products, and technology to enhance public space maintenance.
  • Foster a 'team' approach among hotel departments to maintain clean and fresh public spaces.
  • Act as a hotel ambassador by greeting guests warmly and addressing their inquiries or concerns.
  • Stock cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for each shift.
  • Maintain hotel floors using tools such as brooms, mops, vacuums, and powered equipment (e.g., sweep, vacuum, wet mop, scrub, buff).
  • Follow material safety data sheets for cleaning products.
  • Empty public space trash bins, clean lobby and banquet bathrooms, and pick up trash from tables and floors.
  • Keep public space cleaning utility closets clean and organized.
  • Ensure public restrooms and other areas are stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels, amenities).
  • Routinely inspect areas for cleanliness and functionality, reporting maintenance or safety issues as needed.
  • Assist with other housekeeping tasks, including room cleaning and additional duties.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety protocols, and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • No prior professional experience required.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required prior to employment.

Schedule

  • Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Saturday, Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
