SUMMARY
This position is responsible for ensuring effective Loan Servicing functions in accordance with First United policies and standards.
Major Duties And Responsibilities (essential Functions)
- Uploads loan transactions accurately and timely to the core loan accounting system in accordance with approved request, policies and procedures.
- Ensures accurate and timely file maintenance and/or adjustments of loan data in core loan accounting system.
- Ensures accurate and timely application of payments received.
- Sends and receives payment advice, confirms transactional information and follow up correspondence with participating financial institution.
- Processes daily and monthly reports generated from CORE loan accounting system and other reports as designated.
- Affords assistance to internal customers with routine loan inquiries.
Additional Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintains a professional work/copy room environment.
- Affords assistance to other departments as needed.
- Handles internal customer complaints and communicates issues to supervisor as needed.
- Recommends to supervisor possible methods to improve department efficiency.
- Completes all required compliance exams on a yearly basis.
- Adheres to all First United Policies and Procedures.
- Dresses professionally.

Education And Work Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum one year working experience in the loan area of a banking institution.
- Six months to one year of hands-on experience with boarding loans or performing maintenance in a CORE loan accounting system.
- A good understanding of financial institution products and services is preferred.
Technical/Functional Competencies
- A strong understanding of loans and loan products is preferred.
- An excellent use of Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
- A good understanding of computer spreadsheet and word processing programs is required.
- Exceptional customer service skills are required.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.
- A strong organizational skills is required.
- A strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people is required.
- The ability to communicate well with internal customers by all means of communication including written, verbal, and non-verbal communication is required.
- A willingness to accept additional responsibilities is required.
- A dependable and adherence to timelines and schedules is required.
