Loan Servicing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform loan boarding and maintenance within the Bank’s core system.
• Process loan modifications, including deferrals and forbearances.
• Handle customer payments and payoff requests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email regarding balances, payment details, and loan status.
• Monitor and manage insurance tracking, ensuring appropriate coverage is maintained.
• Track and follow up on ticklers, including: Insurance exceptions, Collateral perfection, Delinquent property taxes.
• Process lien releases upon loan payoff.
• Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, processors, branch staff, and insurance companies to resolve issues and ensure smooth loan servicing operations.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• A minimum of 6 months of loan operations experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all internal business partners and external customers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to perform independently in setting objectives and determining how to proceed.
• An intermediate understanding of commercial and consumer loan structures.
• The ability to research moderately complex issues.
• A working knowledge of federal and state compliance laws and regulations, including a proven ability to apply these requirements to business practices and systems.
