About the role
A Loan Servicing Coordinator II handles the daily operations of loan servicing for all small business and commercial loans, stepping in as backup for the Small Business Loan Operations Management team when needed. This role demands strong time-management skills to meet deadlines under pressure while delivering top-tier customer service.
Responsibilities
- Complete new loan set-up, funding, and post-closing review
- Post loan transactions for all product types
- Perform loan maintenance in the core system as directed
- Ensure work meets established service level agreements and benchmarks
- Prepare and process payoff quotes and payoff transactions
- Respond to customer inquiries within the established service agreement
- Process loan modifications
- Review and quality-check ARM Rate Notice Report; make adjustments and send correspondence to borrowers as needed
- Monitor and reconcile reports related to Small Business and Commercial Loans; follow up with internal and external partners
- Perform post-closing servicing and tracking for Small Business Administration (SBA) guaranteed loans
- Ensure document and data integrity to comply with CECL data points
- Train new hires to maintain consistency and standardization in servicing small business and commercial loans
- Reconcile General Ledger accounts and perform daily balancing
- Monitor collateral records and ensure accurate lien position, including recording and releasing collateral within established timeframes
- Prepare and process applicable release documents
- Establish and maintain loan collateral records in the core system
- Process loan Line of Credit Renewals and the paid commercial loan report
- Process all UCC continuations
- Provide support for testing new products and services
- Manage and distribute all servicing workflows and services
- Gather audit data requested by management
- Validate year-end reporting
- Provide backup support to Collateral and Origination areas
- Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies, procedures, and Federal/State regulations
- Use Microsoft Office, department-specific software, and other computer applications to maximize efficiency
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
Requirements
- High School diploma or Associate degree
- 3-5 years of customer service experience
- 5-6 years of Commercial or Small Business loan experience
- Knowledge of commercial and small business loan products, credit policy, compliance, and interpretation of legal and regulatory issues
- Ability to read, interpret, and make judgments from loan documentation
- Familiarity with loan servicing support systems
- Ability to multitask without compromising quality
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including collaboration and feedback skills
- Ability to assume leadership responsibilities
Pay
The pay range for this position is $19–$21 per hour. Actual pay is based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and knowledge. Additional bonus opportunities and benefits are available.
