In this dynamic consulting role, you will solve problems for clients through innovative solutions, build technical and transferable skills, think critically, and use technology—including emerging AI capabilities—to improve efficiency, insights, and client outcomes. As you grow, you will take ownership of client relationships, contribute to account strategy, and support the delivery of high-impact work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide loan review services and other consulting engagements with clients on credit-related matters.
  • Prepare detailed financial analysis, including cash flow models and collateral evaluations to identify potential credit risks.
  • Evaluate whether commercial loan requests adhere to bank policies and procedures.
  • Analyze and conduct systematic loan reviews of business-related credits to ascertain adequacy of credit quality, loan documentation, credit administration, and compliance with established policies.
  • Work on credit projects under a manager; however, you will often work autonomously on certain aspects.
  • Support many different types of financial institutions across various geographies.
  • Lead segments of engagements to develop leadership abilities, including building client relationships and business relationships with key executives.
  • Write and present clear and concise reports to provide meaningful recommendations to clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in financial institutions or regulatory supervisory institutions.
  • Experience in leveraged lending, capital call, subscription loans, venture lending, or Asset-Based Lending (ABL) is highly preferred, though not mandatory.
  • Underwriting, lending, or regulatory experience (not a role for a consumer finance background).
  • Experience with a variety of loan products and industries.
  • Working knowledge of SBA SOP is a plus.
  • Understanding of credit processes, such as loan origination and underwriting; credit policies; portfolio management; allowance for loan and lease losses; loan review and remediation.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state banking laws related to credit risk.
  • Prior experience with risk ratings, risk rating methodology, and allowance methodology would be a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and comprehension both formally and informally to clients and teams, in a variety of formats and settings (e.g., interviews, meetings, calls, emails, reports, process narratives, presentations).
  • Prior experience should include progressive responsibilities, including supervising and reviewing the work of others, and project management, including self-management of simultaneous work-streams and responsibilities.
  • A self-starter who can prioritize multiple tasks, be resourceful, and research solutions.
  • Passionate about learning, meeting goals, and helping a team succeed.
  • Willingness to travel.

We expect the candidate to uphold Crowe’s values of Care, Trust, Courage, and Stewardship and to act ethically and with integrity at all times.

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree or professional certification a plus (e.g., RMA CRC).

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $76,200.00 - $151,000.00 per year. The wage range takes into account factors such as skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
