Crowe is seeking a Loan Review Senior Consultant to perform credit risk consulting projects for clients in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide loan review services and other consulting engagements with clients on credit-related matters.
  • Prepare detailed financial analysis, including cash flow models and collateral evaluations, to identify potential credit risks.
  • Evaluate whether commercial loan requests adhere to bank policies and procedures.
  • Analyze and conduct systematic loan reviews of business-related credits to assess credit quality, loan documentation, credit administration, and compliance with policies.
  • Work on credit projects under a manager, often autonomously on certain aspects.
  • Support a variety of financial institutions across different geographies.
  • Lead segments of engagements to develop leadership abilities, including building client and business relationships with key executives.
  • Write and present clear, concise reports with meaningful recommendations to clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working in financial institutions or regulatory supervisory institutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in leveraged lending, capital call, subscription loans, venture lending, or Asset-Based Lending (ABL) is highly preferred, though not mandatory.
  • Graduate degree or professional certification (e.g., RMA CRC) is a plus.
  • Underwriting, lending, or regulatory experience (not a role for a consumer finance background).
  • Experience with a variety of loan products and industries.
  • Working knowledge of SBA SOP is a plus.
  • Understanding of credit processes, such as loan origination, underwriting, credit policies, portfolio management, allowance for loan and lease losses, loan review, and remediation.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state banking laws related to credit risk.
  • Prior experience with risk ratings, risk rating methodology, and allowance methodology is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for formal and informal interactions with clients and teams, including interviews, meetings, calls, emails, reports, process narratives, and presentations.
  • Progressive responsibilities, including supervising and reviewing the work of others, and project management (e.g., self-managing simultaneous workstreams).
  • A self-starter who can prioritize multiple tasks, be resourceful, and research solutions.
  • Passionate about learning, meeting goals, and helping a team succeed.
  • Willingness to travel.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $76,200.00 - $151,000.00 per year. The wage range accounts for factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for geographic differentials.
