Loan Processor IV - Mortgage Closer Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepares the loan for closing and ensures all closing documents are correct and accurate and are in compliance with government and credit union regulations.
• Ensures that loan approval stipulations are met prior to loan closing, and that third party requests are transmitted and received in order to meet established time standards.
• Solves member problems, obtains information, researches records, follows up on details, assesses member needs timely and efficiently and reports the results to the inquiring party to develop and sustain profitable member relationship.
• Prepare and audit closing documents in accordance with loan approval, compliance standards and investor guidelines.
• Review asset documentation to ensure the borrower has sufficient funds to close the transaction.
• Review final Closing Disclosures (CDs) and ensure all fees, terms and data are accurate.
• Ensure all pre-closing conditions and documentation requirements are met prior to closing.
• Coverage and communicate closing details with title companies, attorneys, loan officers, processors and applicants.
• Handle funding tasks, including reviewing signed closing packages, verifying accuracy, and disbursing funds when applicable.
• Answer incoming calls, assist applicants with questions regarding their Closing Disclosure, loan documents, escrow, etc., or re-direct the caller to appropriate staff in other areas of department or the Credit Union.

Qualifications

• Associated Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Prior Experience: 3-5 years processing, closing or banking experience is required.
• PREFERRED: Mortgage Closing or Mortgage Processing experience.
• Familiarity with TRID and investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA).
