Non-exempt position reporting to the Loan Operations Manager with no supervisory responsibility.
About the role
Responsible for the processing, administration, and structure of commercial loans.
Responsibilities
- Process and administer commercial loans.
- Assemble and verify accuracy of loan documentation.
- Ensure loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates, and other relevant data.
- Properly secure loan collateral, including filing mortgages on commercial real estate and UCC searches.
- Work with the chief loan officer to hold lenders accountable to policy and procedure by identifying, reporting, and delaying loan closings due to exceptions.
- Manage paid-out loans, release of collateral, and clean-up of loan files.
- Maintain quality control of loan documents, loan files, and loan systems.
- Answer customer questions and resolve routine problems regarding payoffs, changes of owner, note modifications, beneficiaries, and other loan details.
- Update QM procedures annually.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree and/or three to five years of commercial loan experience.
- Extensive knowledge of bank loan policies and procedures.
- Experience in banking regulation and/or industries in which the bank engages in loan activity.
- Knowledge of Fiserv, Laser Pro, and other bank-specific software.
- Fluency in computer applications and Microsoft Office.
