About the role
We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor to join our dynamic team at Cornerstone Home Lending. This role requires a strong background in mortgage processing, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Independently calculate all types of self-employed income
- Fund a minimum of 20 units per month while planning for the next month's units
- Maintain and manage workflow to ensure timely closings
- Stay updated on product knowledge and market conditions
- Proficiency with AUS systems
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to mortgage lending
- Communicate effectively with borrowers, operations staff, title companies, Realtors, etc., to expedite the mortgage process
Requirements
- 3+ years of continuous current retail Mortgage Processing experience preferred
- TRID knowledge required
- Excellent communication skills are a must
- Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, & VA underwriting guidelines
- Experience using LoanSoft LOS is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Teamwork and customer service are a must
- Self-motivated and energetic
- Strong computer and technology-related skills
- Able to work independently and proactively, prioritizing workload and handling multiple tasks
Qualifications

You will need to monitor and manage workflow to ensure timely closings. Maintain product knowledge and stay up to date on changes to market conditions. Proficiency with AUS systems. Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to mortgage lending. Communication with borrowers, operations staff, title companies, Realtors, etc., to expedite the mortgage process.
Skills
Must have experience in processing mortgage loans and understanding the residential mortgage loan process. Must have excellent communication skills, knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, & VA underwriting guidelines, proficiency with AUS systems, compliance with laws and regulations, and ability to communicate with various stakeholders. Must have strong computer and technology-related skills, be self-motivated, and able to work independently and proactively.
