MMTC is a private real estate lender headquartered in Denver, Colorado, specializing in short-term residential bridge loans for Fix & Flip investors, commercial loans, construction loans, and rental property loans. Acquired by KKR, a leading global investment firm, in 2022.

About the role

The Loan Originator will source, vet, foster, and close relationships for MMTC’s various Bridge Loan programs. Ideal candidates have experience providing bridge financing to builders and relationships with borrowers active in residential real estate Fix & Flip and Ground Up construction. This is a competitive yet rewarding sales position for highly motivated individuals with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and close prospective bridge loan borrowers
• Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships with borrowers
• Obtain all required paperwork and financial information from prospective borrowers
• Report business development and sales activity
• Meet with new and existing prospects
• Help develop and execute business plans with thorough market and competitor analysis

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• High motivation and a proactive mindset to understand problems, offer solutions, build relationships, and navigate institutional decision-making
• A collaborative, team-player approach to work
• Critical thinking regarding risk and quality of assets being originated
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated with measurable results
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, LinkedIn & LinkedIn Navigator, and Teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2+ years of experience originating bridge loans and a minimum monthly self-sourced pipeline of $3M
• Established book of business
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and basic computer skills
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Pay

$150,000 – $250,000 per year (base + commission)
