Loan Officer - Norfolk

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within the community
• Interview applicants and evaluate financial information to determine lending needs
• Originate, process, and manage loans in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements
• Educate customers on loan products and financial solutions
• Collaborate with other bank team members to deliver excellent customer service
• Participate in business development and community involvement activities
• Maintain knowledge of lending regulations, underwriting standards, and market conditions
• Support customers with a variety of lending needs, including:
• Agricultural loans
• Commercial loans
• Consumer loans
• Real estate and mortgage loans

Qualifications

• Previous lending, banking, finance, or sales experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build trust and long-term customer relationships
• Detail-oriented with sound decision-making abilities
• Knowledge of credit analysis and underwriting principles is a plus
• Commitment to community involvement and customer service
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, agriculture, or related field preferred, but not required
