Loan Officer/Branch Manager / Ridgeland, MS

About the Role

The Loan Officer/Branch Manager oversees efficient and effective branch operations to maximize profitability and achieve bank goals. This role manages a loan portfolio exceeding $2,500,000, including generation, approval, and servicing of loans.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise branch staff in selling and servicing bank products for prospective and existing customers.
• Identify, solicit, and develop new branch business through outreach to current and prospective customers.
• Open deposit accounts tailored to customer needs.
• Generate, approve, and service a personal loan portfolio aligned with branch market and customer demands.
• Maintain contact with loan customers to address past-due loans and collections.
• Engage in community affairs to enhance the bank’s visibility and business opportunities.
• Conduct branch meetings and manage building maintenance functions.
• Prepare production reports for management.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of bank products, services, policies, procedures, and regulatory issues (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy Act, Fair Lending Act, Regulation E).
• Complete required compliance training and adhere to the bank’s standards of conduct.
• Act as backup for Relationship Bankers and Customer Service Representatives (CSRs).
• Participate in the bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
• Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Five or more years of similar or related experience.
• Loan origination experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), including general computer and typing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read extensively and make difficult decisions while handling multiple tasks.
