Loan Officer Associate

About the role

As a Loan Officer Associate at Lennar, you will assist Loan Officers while developing the skills and knowledge to become a Loan Officer in the future. This role includes completing various online and classroom educational sessions, receiving operational and hands-on training, and supporting the Loan Officer and Division Managers.

Responsibilities

• Learning Development: Participate in formal training programs covering lending aspects such as loan types, creditworthiness assessment, and the loan approval process. Train with managers on mortgage rate sheets to learn accurate loan pricing and locking.
• Continuous Education and Licensure: Successfully complete testing for mortgage licensing and appropriate state licensing as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of RESPA through continuing education courses.
• Support and Coordination: Update loan applications with missing data, maintain notes within the Loan Origination System, and ensure complete information exchange. Occasionally set up files initially.
• Business Development and Customer Relations: Participate in builder and realtor functions to develop and maintain relationships. Work with Division Managers and Loan Officers on local marketing campaigns.
• Customer-Centric Approach: Ensure borrowers can easily reach out via phone, email, or chat and receive prompt responses. Act as a primary contact between borrowers and Loan Officers, scheduling and conducting meetings to address follow-up issues.
• Collaboration and Flexibility: Assist processors and closers in procuring loan documents from borrowers and other entities. Engage and assist internal associates through various channels. Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; BA or BS preferred.
• Mortgage or banking experience (preferred).
• Experience articulating product or service features, benefits, and value.
• Passion for ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Exceptional organizational abilities, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements

• Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities, job sites, and offices during work hours.
• Ability to work in excess of eight hours per day in confined spaces like construction trailers.
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and/or carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional operation of construction equipment may be required.
• Finger dexterity for operating a computer keyboard and calculator.
