About the role

Responsible for coordinating the loan documentation process under general direction, ensuring all regulatory, legal, and loan policy requirements are met before preparing loan documents for approved requests.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews imaging system for documentation and deficiencies for internal refinance and modification requests.
  • Uses the Bank’s loan platform system to key information necessary to originate loan documents according to approval, collateral, and additional documentation efficiently.
  • Maintains a daily record of transactions in process.
  • Communicates with Loan Operations Documentation team members and lending staff regarding loan request status, missing information from lender/borrower, and clear-to-close details.
  • Manages documentation errors to an acceptable level and corrects them in a timely manner once notified.
  • Maintains good punctuality and attendance.
  • Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Operates customary business equipment and technology, with or without accommodation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience with financial documents and transactions (e.g., promissory notes, loan agreements, security deeds, mortgages) preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in a centralized loan documentation department preferred.
  • Prior experience with TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID) and corporate authority documents (e.g., Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws, Certificate of Good Standing) preferred.

Skills

  • Knowledge of loan terminology and elements/processes required to close a loan.
  • Knowledge of general banking principles and federal/state regulatory lending laws.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail and complete accurate, detailed work within specific timeframes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and assist others when needed.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under general supervision.
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
