Loan Clerk I

Job Summary

This position's primary duties are to book and fund loan transactions, post loan payments, process loan advances, and file collateral documents.

Essential Functions

• Reviews loan requests and disbursement instructions and uploads (or books) all loans to the platform system
• Adds new customers to core system as requested
• Adds Beneficial Ownership on new entities and verifies same on renewals
• Performs limited post closing review for necessary documents
• Researches and clears balancing exceptions
• Books extensions, deferrals, amendments, and participation loans
• Processes loan advances in accordance with bank policy and procedure
• Posts payments
• Filings Lien Entries, UCC and EFS financing statements
• Quotes Payoffs
• Reviews and mails ARM loan notices
• Images specific documents

Additional Functions

• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements (Education, Experience)

• A High School Diploma
• 1 - 2 years of experience in consumer and commercial lending practices with basic knowledge of loan system

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Basic knowledge/experience with computer systems; Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong sense of customer service
• Strong attention to detail
• Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Flexibility and ability to multi-task
