This position serves as a support to the loan department and has an advanced level of loan training and understanding. It can also serve as a Regional Loan Assistant trainer.
Responsibilities
- Processes loans, including preparation work, computer input, and follow-up.
- May assist with loan closings.
- Prepare reports for management.
- May assist with preparation of loans for loan committee, as needed.
- Establishes, maintains, and revises filing and record-keeping articles, records, and other documents.
- Assists customers with loan questions or account questions.
- Assists with bill paying and general ledger entries.
- Tracks and reviews exceptions; reviews files for outstanding information.
- Performs loan non-post review and correction.
- Processes payments and reverses/corrects payments if needed.
- Reviews loans in process to ensure they balance.
- Processes paid loans and releases collateral as needed.
- Books and completes the loan process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Requirements
- Knowledge of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of loan processes and basic accounting.
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Skill in communicating effectively with management, customers, and co-workers.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to create an organized, efficient work environment without supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure of deadlines.
- Ability to function as a team player.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience in banking.
- Previous experience with computer software and bookkeeping preferred.
- Previous loan processing experience preferred.
Pay
Hourly $27 - $40
