Loading, Shipping and Receiving Associate 1st Shift

Base pay rate is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour. 1st Shift Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, hours may vary depending on operations.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment.
• Use crating and packaging resources, including metal bands and protective coverings, to secure parts during transport.
• Operate forklifts and other lifting equipment, ensuring safe and efficient lifts.
• Assist with inventory counts as required.
• Maintain practices for continuous improvement within the work area.
• Utilize scanning equipment and inspect work visually for defects according to Quality Systems.
• Provide cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate waste.
• Read, write, and follow posted schedules.
• Work overtime as needed and perform other projects or tasks assigned by the team leader.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid Driver License.
• A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or a comparable environment.
• Good communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Forklift experience is a plus; must be trainable on forklift.
• Crane experience is a plus; must be trainable on crane.
• Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds continually above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
• Some knowledge of a manufacturing environment.
