About the role

The Loading, Shipping and Receiving Associate position is an entry-level role that is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments. Loaders play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of shipping operations and ensuring that products are delivered and received in good condition.

Responsibilities

- Understands and follows safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment. - Employs a range of crating and packaging resources, including metal bands and protective coverings, to ensure parts are securely fastened and safeguarded during transport. - Proficient in operating forklifts and other lifting equipment. - Responsible for each lift, deciding when to check actual vs maximum allowable trailer load. - Assists with inventory counts as required. - Maintains practices for continuous improvement within the work area.

Qualifications

- Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment - Ability to safely operate a forklift - Basic math skills, including ability to read a tape measure - Ability to work independently and with others - High school diploma or GED
