Loader Opertator

About the role

As a Loader Operator at Copart, you will move and load vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift, maintain documentation of vehicle movement, and perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment. You will ensure a safe work environment by adhering to company safety guidelines and facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders or forklifts to move and load vehicles.
• Maintain accurate documentation of vehicle movement around the facility.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and document machine condition.
• Ensure equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
• Operate company equipment safely and assist with its maintenance.
• Record vehicle information accurately and legibly.
• Use digital cameras or other devices for vehicle documentation and tracking.
• Set up the yard for auctions within company timelines.
• Provide service to customers as needed while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
• Follow yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (e.g., speed limits).
• Load and unload vehicles as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
• One year of loader or forklift experience; certification preferred.
• Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude and high integrity.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to pass training and safety requirements.
• Occasional overtime as needed.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Pay

$21.05 - $23.71 per hour.
