Loader Opertator

About the role

The Loader Operator will move and load vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift, maintain documentation of vehicle movement around the facility, and perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections with associated documentation of their assigned machine. The operator will maintain a safe work environment, follow company guidelines for safe loader operation, and facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
• Operate company equipment safely.
• Assist with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
• Record vehicle information accurately and legibly.
• Operate digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
• Set up yard for auctions within company timelines.
• Provide service to customers as needed.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
• Follow yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (e.g., speed limits).
• Load and unload vehicles as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
• One year of loader or forklift experience; certification preferred.
• Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Positive attitude and high integrity.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to pass training and safety requirements.
• Occasional overtime as needed.
• Bilingual skills a plus.

Pay

$21.05 - $23.71 per hour.
