Loader Operator

About the Role

Join SRM Concrete as a Loader Operator and take pride in operating powerful front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to keep our concrete operations running smoothly. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team to move materials, maintain inventory, and ensure our plant stays productive and safe.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and heavy equipment to move sand, gravel, and cement around the plant.
• Load and unload trucks, hoppers, bins, and conveyors to ensure materials are always available.
• Collaborate with your crew and production team to maintain schedules and workflow.
• Perform pre- and post-shift equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.
• Follow all safety protocols, wear required gear, and help maintain a safe work environment.
• Keep your work area clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency.
• Assist with inventory counts to ensure we never run low on critical materials.
• Share ideas with plant leaders to help improve operations and processes.
• Be ready to assist teammates or tackle tough jobs as needed.

Requirements

• Experience operating loaders or other heavy machinery is a plus, but we provide training for hardworking individuals willing to learn.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Commitment to safety for yourself and your team—willingness to speak up if something isn’t right.
• Ability to perform basic equipment checks and minor fixes.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Physical ability to handle a job that involves movement in all weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to complete pre-employment screenings.
