Loader Operator

About the role

Martin Marietta is seeking a Loader Operator to join our team at the Coy Stone Plant in Jefferson City, Tennessee. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and motivated, responsible for safely and efficiently operating a loader and other related equipment for daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loader within company guidelines and safety standards.
• Participate in safety inspections, plant safety programs, and follow company and MSHA safety rules and regulations.
• Construct haul roads, prepare drill benches, level shot material after blasting, and construct drainage as needed.
• Aid in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product piles.
• Perform pre-shift safety inspections on equipment and report needed repairs to the supervisor.
• Perform preventative maintenance, service mobile equipment, and maintain good housekeeping of equipment.
• Maintain safe traffic flow throughout the site.
• Operate other equipment such as dozers and haul trucks safely as needed.
• Aid in the training of co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position.
• Experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment, and/or equipment used in processing plants.
• Experience in the operation and maintenance of a loader (preferred).
