About the role
As a Loader Operator at Copart, you will move and load vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. You will maintain documentation of vehicle movement around the facility, perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment, and ensure a safe work environment by adhering to company safety guidelines. You will also facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs, maintain equipment according to company standards, and assist with equipment upkeep.
Responsibilities
- Operate front-end loaders or forklifts to move and load vehicles.
- Maintain accurate and legible documentation of vehicle movements and equipment inspections.
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned machinery and document findings.
- Ensure equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
- Operate company equipment safely and adhere to yard guidelines (e.g., speed limits) to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
- Record vehicle information accurately using digital cameras or other tracking devices.
- Set up the yard for auctions within company timelines.
- Provide service to customers as needed while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Load and unload vehicles as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
- One year of loader or forklift experience; certification preferred.
- Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude and high integrity.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Must be able to pass training and safety requirements.

Pay
