Loader Operator

About the role

Copart, Inc., a technology leader and premier online vehicle auction platform with over 200 facilities globally, connects vehicle sellers to more than 750,000 buyers across over 190 countries. The Loader Operator will facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs while maintaining a safe work environment and following company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Move and load vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift.
• Maintain documentation of vehicle movement around the facility.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and associated documentation.
• Ensure equipment is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
• Operate company equipment safely and assist with maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
• Record vehicle information accurately and legibly using digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
• Set up yard for auctions within company timelines.
• Provide service to customers as needed and maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
• Follow yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (e.g., speed limits).
• Load and unload vehicles as required.
• Pass training and safety requirements.

Requirements

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
• One year of loader or forklift experience; certification preferred.
• Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Positive attitude and high integrity.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Occasional overtime as needed.
• Bilingual skills a plus.
