About the role
The Loader Operator at Copart, Inc. will be responsible for moving and loading vehicles using a company-provided front-end loader or forklift. This position also involves maintaining documentation of vehicle movements, conducting daily pre and post-trip inspections, and ensuring a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain documentation of vehicle movement around the facility.
- Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections and associated documentation of assigned machine.
- Operate company equipment safely and ensure it is maintained according to company standards and customer contracts.
- Facilitate the Copart experience by offering solutions to meet customers' needs.
- Assist with the maintenance of company equipment and vehicles.
- Record vehicle information accurately and legibly.
- Operate digital camera or other basic vehicle documentation and tracking devices.
- Set up yard for auctions within company timelines.
- Provide service to customers as needed.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
- Follow yard guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (e.g., speed limits).
- Load and unload vehicles as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least two years of work experience, preferably in an outdoor environment.
- One year of loader or forklift experience, certification preferred.
- Excellent customer service attitude and skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Positive attitude and high integrity.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Occasional overtime as needed.
- Bilingual skills a plus.
