About the Role
A Loader places cabinets and parts into a trailer using hand dollies and pallet jacks, ensuring that the load is correct and secure for transport.
Responsibilities
- Load cabinets into trailers following the Handling, Staging, and Loading requirements
- Package cabinets while moving down the assembly line and use a strapping machine to secure boxes for loading
- Use a scanning system to ensure correct components are assembled
- Accurately interpret production labels and scan cabinets and parts
- Occasionally use a pallet jack to move skids of parts for loading
- Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to follow all handling, staging, and loading (HSL) requirements
- Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, and color variances
- Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure
Physical Demands
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending, crouching, pulling, and pushing
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
Working Conditions
- Indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures
- Protective safety gear required, including safety glasses and gloves
- Moderate to high noise levels
- Occasional overtime and weekend work as required
