Loader - 1st Shift

About the Role

A Loader places cabinets and parts into a trailer using hand dollies and pallet jacks, ensuring that the load is correct and secure for transport.

Responsibilities

• Load cabinets into trailers following the Handling, Staging, and Loading requirements
• Package cabinets while moving down the assembly line and use a strapping machine to secure boxes for loading
• Use a scanning system to ensure correct components are assembled
• Accurately interpret production labels and scan cabinets and parts
• Occasionally use a pallet jack to move skids of parts for loading
• Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Ability to follow all handling, staging, and loading (HSL) requirements
• Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, and color variances
• Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure

Physical Demands

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Frequent bending, crouching, pulling, and pushing
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 lbs, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

Working Conditions

• Indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures
• Protective safety gear required, including safety glasses and gloves
• Moderate to high noise levels
• Occasional overtime and weekend work as required
