Load Operator - Mill

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures uninterrupted feed production by maintaining an adequate supply of roughage inbox.
• Transports silage from silage pit to mill using a front end loader.
• Stockpiles hulls/silage.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing servicing requirements specified by the manager (may include: fueling, checking fluid levels, checking filters, greasing, and cleaning equipment).
• Cleans area around roughage box by shoveling, sweeping, or blowing spilled roughage.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
