About the role
BHE GT&S has an exciting career opportunity for an LNG Supply Chain Facility Coordinator located at our Cove Point facility in Lusby, MD.
Responsibilities
- Aids in planning and administering daily warehouse activities, maintaining inventory levels consistent with the needs of the facility, and maintaining internal procedures for receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
- Provides LNG Facility Warehouse Coordination materials and Inventory Management.
- Plans the staging and efficient organization of materials within the warehouses, maintaining the warehouse in a safe, clean, and organized environment.
- Receives material, removes packing, inspects material, and checks for accuracy against order.
- Aids in establishing and maintaining internal procedures for receiving, storing, shipping, and issuing materials.
- Serves as the site representative for all corporate supply chain management activities and initiatives.
- Ensures the facility remains compliant with all legal, regulatory, and procedural requirements governing supply chain management.
- Maintains performance indicator monitoring to ensure fulfillment of business requirements, including issue resolution and supplier compliance.
- Aids in maintaining inventory levels consistent with the needs of the facility.
- Ensures site material needs are met by understanding critical upcoming planned work activities and tracking priority materials for daily and outage material requirements.
- Coordinates plans and meets material target delivery dates, collaborating with sourcing teams, expeditors, transportation, and warehousing.
- Works closely with maintenance to determine if plant equipment is obsolete; provides oversight to include the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in the disposal of obsolete material and new replacement material.
- Identifies process improvement opportunities and implements efficiency, standardization, and improvements to ensure evaluation of the entire process from acquisition to disposal.
- Provides in-depth analytical support through various Inventory Optimization techniques, process management, and business intelligence to support consistency, cost management, and operational excellence improvements.
- Ensures stocking levels are appropriate when considering the operational constraints.
- Provides high-level backup coverage for departmental reporting.
- May serve as site representative and site contact for specific service contractors such as HVAC, landscaping, and elevators.
- Supports facility work planning as needed to include establishment of new materials, including the development of bills of materials and stockroom efficiencies.
- Maintains appropriate warehouse/material documentation and labeling.
- Collaborates with procurement and maintenance on repairable material activities.
- Builds and maintains cooperative working relationships with other departments, including Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Administration.
- Maintains scheduled on-call availability to support 24 hours per day and seven days per week operation and emergency needs.
- Performs any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a customer service focus, and the ability to work as a member in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years Warehousing and Maintenance experience.
- Prior work experience using Oracle, SAP, or Maximo Warehouse Inventory Management software applications.
- Working knowledge (5+ years) of supply management techniques, materials management, and inventory control preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plant operations, maintenance, and design control.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of computer applications and systems.
- Skilled in the use of a computer and Microsoft Office related software.
- Educational background: Bachelor's degree (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree).
- Preferred Degree: Business or Engineering.
- Preferred Licenses, Certifications, Qualifications or Standards: Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
