LNA - 36hrs Nights - Vascular/Thoracic

About the Role

Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. This position requires direct patient care and comes with a $750 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.
• Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
• Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
• Helps patients with basic hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
• Assists with turning and repositioning patients in bed and transferring them between bed and wheelchair.
• Listens to patients' health concerns and reports them to nurses.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (preferred).
• Certified Medical Assistant (preferred) or Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (Massachusetts) or Nursing Assistant (LNA - New Hampshire) (preferred).
• 1-2 years of experience working in patient care or elder care (preferred).
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong patient/customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Proficient computer skills for working with electronic medical records.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $19.47 - $31.09, based on experience. Base pay estimate: $19.47 - $24.40/hourly (Grade 3).
