About the role
The Director, Tour Marketing is a strategic marketing leader and core member of the Tour Marketing team, partnering with Tour Promoters to develop and execute innovative marketing strategies. This role provides best-in-class service and fosters strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, acting as a strategic partner in developing marketing plans and leading special projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing plans in conjunction with artist and project teams
- Manage onsale timelines in partnership with the ticketing lead
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners to provide excellent client services
- Analyze past purchaser data and use research tools to drive decisions and shape ongoing marketing strategy
- Manage marketing budgets to achieve business objectives
- Collaborate with multiple teams to successfully execute strategic integrated marketing campaigns
- Execute national promotions and oversee local promotions in support of individual shows and tours
- Partner with the PR team to develop and execute media events and PR opportunities to support tours
- Oversee the planning of digital media campaigns across multiple platforms
- Oversee social media campaigns and promotions to drive ticket sales, awareness, and fan engagement
- Oversee the production of marketing assets including audio and video spots, key art, and social content
- Effectively utilize internal marketing tools and resources, following best practices
- Manage one or more employees at the coordinator level within the tour marketing department
Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years of marketing experience in live entertainment or a related field (international experience a plus)
- Proven track record of outstanding client relationships
- Deep understanding of the live entertainment business
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to professionally present pitches, marketing concepts, and strategies
- Ability to work well in a team environment and prioritize tasks under pressure
- Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail
- Creativity and problem-solving aptitude
- Proactive work ethic and passion for live experiences
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite, G-Suite, and Box skills
- Experience with project management software/tools (Asana knowledge a plus)
- Experience with digital asset management systems and workflows
- Experience managing marketing budgets and campaign planning
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Fluency in a secondary language is a plus

Pay
Expected compensation for this position is $100,000.00 USD - $125,000.00 USD, based on market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
