Summary
Drive scientific excellence and operational efficiency across Perdue's Live Production organization. Support the Veterinary Services, Analytical Lab, and Food Safety/Quality Assurance Compliance teams by ensuring seamless coordination across scientific and cross-functional partners.
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Verify eligibility of poultry products for export.
- Cookordination, maintenance, and communication of testing results for the Live Production Food Safety/Quality Assurance and Veterinary Services teams.
- Serve as a liaison between the Quality Assurance Microbiology Laboratory and the Live Production teams.
- Prepare executive reports, presentations, and project summaries.
- Maintain Veterinary Services and Food Safety/Quality Assurance information dashboards.
- Provide backup support for the Analytical Laboratory and Nutrition teams, as needed.
- Track departmental budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and expenses.
- Aid the supervisor with customer requests for information.
- Maintain accurate document control for sensitive materials.
- Support resource needs, equipment service, and supply orders.
- Manage purchase order creation, invoice processing, and financial documentation.
- Maintain accurate financial records and audit materials.
- Support Perdue internal and external auditing programs.
Minimum Education And Experience
- Associate’s degree.
- 5+ years of administrative or technical support experience.
- Experience in technical or scientific environments.
- Strong communication, organization, and confidentiality skills.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and familiarity with enterprise software such as Amino (formerly MTech), Maximo, and Safety Chain.
Physical Requirements And Environmental Factors
- Stand for 1-2 hours at a time.
- Move light equipment or supplies.
- Access files, supplies, and equipment.
- Work primarily in an enclosed office and/or open laboratory environment.
- Be exposed to wet and moist floors, including metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- Be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees-100 degrees Fahrenheit with ambient conditions and up to 100% humidity.
- Handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Be exposed to noise levels ranging from 50 dB to 110 dB.
- Be exposed to chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing facilities.
- Wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
Pay
This position has a target wage of $26.00 - $39.25 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).
Schedule
