About the Role

ComForCare Home Care is seeking compassionate and dependable Live-In Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide one-on-one, in-home care for clients. This role involves non-medical support that helps clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. No caregiving experience is required—training and ongoing support are provided.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Helping with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
• Assisting with daily living activities, including meal preparation, shopping/errands, and light housekeeping
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean living environment
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Accompanying clients to appointments or errands when appropriate
• Monitoring changes in a client's condition and communicating with the care team
• Following individualized care plans to ensure each client's specific needs are met, and reporting changes in health status

Requirements

• No experience required; previous experience in home health care or a related field preferred
• Reliable transportation for client visits and to/from assignments
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
• Willingness to live in the client's home during scheduled shifts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Candidates may be required to complete a background check as a condition of employment, consistent with Connecticut state regulations and applicable federal law
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be reliable with a strong commitment to punctuality and professionalism
• Able to lift up to 25–50 lbs and assist with physical transfers

Pay

$16.94 per hour
