Live - In (Caregiver/Direct Support Professional)

Responsibilities

• Seek out opportunities for community/social integration
• Help consumers plan and prepare their choices of fun events and outings
• Assist with self-care: dressing, bathing or showering, brushing teeth, toileting, shaving
• Medication administration
• Meal preparation/planning
• Transportation of consumers
• Follow individual service plans
• Other duties as assigned

Live-In Requirements

• Sleep overnight on-site
• Overnights are on-call only—you’re not paid unless you’re woken up to assist a resident
• Must be able to respond to emergencies or resident needs if they arise overnight
• Additional paid shifts available during the day or evening, either at this house or other homes we operate

Essential Functions/Requirements

• 18 years of age
• Acceptable Background Character Verification
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for consumer transport
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as twisting, turning, squatting, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, raising arms above shoulder, walking, sitting (chair and floor), climbing stairs, and using hands and fingers
• Communicate basic English
• Basic reading, writing, and internet navigation skills
• Experience with adults with disabilities

Pay

Wage: $19/hr. + $1.50/hr shift differential for weekend hours
