Live-In Caregiver (CHHA)
Job Summary
BAYADA Home Health Care has an immediate need for licensed Live-In Home Health Aides to care for their clients. Live-In Caregivers are present in the home and available to provide assistance intermittently throughout a 24 hour period. BAYADA offers Live-In HHAs various benefits including group medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision benefits, and transportation to and from assignments.
Qualifications
- One year of verifiable work experience with a Healthcare Agency, or a non-healthcare Employer (if newly licensed)
- Successful completion of a 76 hour Home Health Aide training course (HHA Certification in New Jersey)
- Hold an ACTIVE HHA license with the New Jersey Board of Nursing
- Ability to drive client using client's vehicle with a driver's license in good standing
Job Responsibilities
- Activities of daily living
- Light housekeeping
- Bathing
- Grooming
- Toileting
- Nail care
- Ranging of motion / exercises
- Transfers / use of mechanical lifting devices
- Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration
- Home Management Tasks: laundry, meal preparation, bed making etc.
- Ambulation assistance
- Medication assistance
