CHHA Caregiver

About the Role

Senior Helpers of North Hudson is seeking compassionate Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aides (CHHAs) who are reliable, kind-hearted, and passionate about helping seniors live their best lives at home. This role is open to residents of New Jersey only.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and meaningful conversation
• Support daily living activities like bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene
• Assist with walking, mobility, and transfers
• Provide medication reminders (no administration)
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
• Accompany clients to appointments or errands (public transportation is acceptable)
• Communicate client updates with the care team

Requirements

• Active NJ CHHA license (required)
• Current TB test
• CPR certification (preferred)
• High school diploma or GED
• Cleared background check
• Reliable transportation (a car is not required)
• A genuine love for seniors, reliability, and a caring spirit
