About the role

Seniors Helping Seniors is hiring dedicated Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) and Caregivers to support seniors in local communities. The agency is owned and operated by local husband-and-wife team Matt and Erin Eckard, offering thoughtful matching with long‑term, consistent clients close to home based on personality and interests. Immediate featured cases are available starting ASAP in Linden, Springfield, and Union, with a focus on Short Hills, Springfield, Union, and surrounding Essex & Union Counties. Pay

Competitive pay starting at $20.00 per hour, with $22.00 per hour for weekend shifts (weekend differential included).

Schedule

Full‑time, part‑time, overnight, and respite shifts available. Flexible scheduling built around your availability, including day, weekend, or overnight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Companionship & Memory Care: Engagement, activities, and specialized support for Alzheimer’s and Dementia clients.
• Personal Care (ADLs): Safe assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance.
• Nutrition & Homemaking: Meal planning/preparation and light housekeeping.
• Transportation: Transporting clients to medical appointments (e.g., dialysis), grocery shopping, and errands.

Requirements

• Active NJ CHHA Certification (required).
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable insured vehicle for client transport (required).
• Strong clinical judgment, clear communication, and a dependable attitude.
• Open availability for day, weekend, or overnight shifts is a plus.
• Male caregivers are especially encouraged to apply (many male clients request male peers).
