Live In Caregiver (3 Day On / 3 Days Off Rotating)

Shift

These cases are 24 hours/7 days a week. Caregivers will work 3 days on, 3 days off.

Client Care

• Performs personal hygiene and grooming care to clients
• Performs routine housekeeping and home management duties
• Plans and prepares meals for clients’ nutritional needs
• Performs laundry, shopping, and errands for clients
• Affords assistance with routine therapy exercises
• Transports and accompanies clients to scheduled appointments
• Provides client socialization and companionship
• Maintains a safe home environment
• Observes and follows universal precautions
• Provides round the clock care over an extended period of time to develop and support the client’s needs

Communication and Responsibilities

• Reports changes in clients’ condition to the supervisor
• Exhibits effective interpersonal skills interacting with clients, family members, and other staff
• Completes and documents tasks in journal as assigned in the care plan
• Consistently utilizes the scheduling software application for timekeeping, documentation, and communication with office
• Periodically reviews company email for policy updates and communication from supervisors
• Fulfills all policies and procedures including minimum work requirement of 8 hours per month
• Attends all mandatory in-services and scheduled office appointments

Qualifications

• Driver's license and car with auto insurance preferred
• One year of personal care experience at an agency or facility
• Two years of continuous work experience
• All applicants must live in CT
