LIV Beach Lifeguards – 2027 Summer Season

Position Overview We are seeking a vigilant and skilled lifeguard to ensure the safety of individuals at our day club. The ideal candidate will be responsible for actively monitoring swimming areas, enforcing safety rules, and responding promptly to emergencies. This position requires strong swimming abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Essential Duties And Responsibilities The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: Maintain constant surveillance of the swimming area to ensure the safety of all patronsIdentify and address any potential hazards or unsafe conditionsEnforce facility rules and regulations to promote a safe and positive environmentProvide guidance and education to patrons on proper water safety behaviorRespond quickly and effectively to all emergency situationsPerform rescues and administer first aid as neededContact emergency medical services and provide assistance until they arriveCommunicate clearly and professionally with patrons, colleagues, and managementProvide clear instructions during emergency situationsInspect and maintain all lifeguard equipment regularlyReport any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate authoritiesAttend and participate in regular training sessions and drillsStay current on lifeguarding techniques, first aid, and CPR/AED certificationInteract with patrons in a friendly and approachable mannerAssist with inquiries and provide information about facility servicesTemporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. SALARY $18.00 per hour
