Preparation
Preparation is the foundation of cooking, and a Prep Cook lays the groundwork for all of the beautiful dishes created in the kitchen. Making everything from sauces to sides, this individual is efficient but does not cut corners, knowing that a consistent product is essential to the integrity and flavor of the final product.
Responsibilities
- Setting up, cleaning, and organizing a workstation
- Preparing a variety of ingredients and recipes with efficiency and timeliness
- Maintaining good kitchen safety and sanitation
Requirements
- At least 1+ years of related professional cooking experience
- Experience with commercial restaurant cooking equipment
- Ability to follow sanitation and cleanliness procedures
- Culinary degree or related restaurant experience is preferred
Qualifications
- Great communication skills with both front and back of the house
- Handle a fast-paced cooking environment with ease
