Little Jennie Ranch

About the role

Come spend 3-4 weeks at the Little Jennie Ranch, one of the most beautiful places to put up hay. We are looking for a seasonal Haying Operator with experience and motivation to do a great job for the land and livestock.

Work will primarily involve running a swather and/or baler alongside a long-time operator at the ranch. When weather pauses haying, you’ll be eager to help with other ranch tasks. Housing is provided, and we will hire you for as long as needed to finish the season.

This is a family-owned ranch in a season of growth, valuing safety, integrity, good neighborliness, stockmanship, and stewardship. The ranch operates commercial cattle, a direct-to-consumer beef business, and a 4-season backcountry guiding operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate a swather and/or baler to put up hay
• Assist with other ranch work during weather pauses

Requirements

• 2–6 years of experience in haying or similar agricultural work
• Motivation to contribute to land and livestock stewardship
