About the role

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations of the store to ensure efficiency, quality, and excellent customer service. This role involves supervising team members, maintaining inventory and food safety standards, and assisting in achieving sales and performance goals. The Assistant Manager serves as a key leader in motivating staff, resolving customer concerns, and ensuring the store operates smoothly during all shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train team members to ensure high performance, adherence to company standards, and excellent customer service.
  • Aid the Store Manager in planning and executing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintain inventory levels and manage food preparation, storage, and waste to maintain cost efficiency.
  • Enforce compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations for team members.
  • Achieve sales targets and operational goals by analyzing performance and implementing improvements.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.
  • Step in as acting Store Manager when needed, making operational decisions to ensure smooth store operations.

Requirements

  • Previous retail, food service, or customer service experience.
  • On-the-job training is provided for all new team members.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and restaurant operations.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and scheduling.

Schedule
