About the role

A leading professional services organization is seeking a highly organized and proactive Practice Assistant to provide administrative and client-facing support to attorneys and legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to attorneys and legal professionals.
  • Manage calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
  • Prepare, proofread, and format legal and business documents.
  • Cook up client communications, mailings, filing, and document management.
  • Collapse support billing, time entry, matter opening, and engagement documentation.
  • Aid with event coordination, client relationship initiatives, and attorney credential tracking.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure accuracy across all administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide cross-functional coverage and support.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of legal assistant experience in a law firm is REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written, verbal, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and work independently.
  • Experience supporting legal professionals and litigation-related practices is a plus.
  • Notary Public certification preferred.

Pay

Salary Range: $77,000 - $100,000 annually (Long Island, NY), based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Onsite training (Monday-Friday), transitioning to a hybrid schedule after training completion.
