Responsibilities

  • Preparing, proofreading, and filing legal documents in both State and Federal courts, including electronic filings.
  • Assisting with discovery, trial preparation, correspondence, binders, and other litigation-related materials.
  • Managing attorney calendars, contacts, travel arrangements, expense reports, and file maintenance.
  • Opening new matters, coordinating conflict checks, and supporting business development initiatives.
  • Entering attorney time and costs in timekeeping and billing systems.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and processing client invoices while ensuring compliance with client billing requirements.
  • Coinciding workflow and communications with attorneys, clients, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Providing administrative support on complex and deadline-driven projects.
  • Aiding with overflow work and collaborating with the broader legal support team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience providing administrative support within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong litigation experience required, including substantial knowledge of State and Federal court procedures and filing requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, initiative, and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
