Litigation Defense Attorney

Job Details

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Litigation Defense Attorney to join our dynamic team in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities

• Managing all aspects of litigation, including depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials, for a variety of catastrophic injury cases.
• Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and briefs.
• Collaborating with medical experts, investigators, and other specialists to prepare for trial.
• Developing and implementing defense strategies, taking into account the client's goals and the specifics of the case.
• Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients when appropriate.
• Keeping clients informed of case progress and advising them on legal rights and obligations.
• Complying with all legal standards and regulations, and maintaining the highest level of ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience civil litigation defense experience.
• Licensed in Pennsylvania.
• Proven track record of success in defending clients in civil litigation cases.
• Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex issues.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain strong relationships with clients and work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong ethical and professional standards.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on changes in the law related to catastrophic injuries.

Salary

$135,000 - $185,000 per year
