About the Firm
We are a Knoxville-based insurance defense and general practice law firm established in 2008. Our fast-paced defense practice handles pre-litigation, litigation, and appeal responsibilities for over 25 national and regional insurance carriers, self-insured entities, and high-retention companies across Tennessee. We cover all state, federal, and appellate courts in insurance defense and personal injury cases, including automobile and commercial vehicle accidents, commercial property, business liability, fire losses, coverage investigations, construction defects, and more.
About the Role
We are seeking attorneys at all experience levels in the Knoxville area to join our practice. Immediate openings are available for Associate Attorneys with 2-5 years of experience or lateral hires who have a passion for trial work and a strong, fast-moving litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who thrive in a dynamic environment and are looking to build a long-term career.
Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload from inception through resolution, including claim investigation, analysis, and reporting.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Handle alternative dispute resolution, trials, and appeals.
- Conduct legal research and writing, as well as oral arguments at motion, trial, and appellate levels.
- Develop additional practice areas of interest.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills.
- 2-5 years of experience or lateral hire with a passion for trial work (all experience levels considered).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced litigation environment.
