Litigation Case Manager (Part Time)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial.
- Conduct regular client update calls and maintain consistent communication throughout the life of the case.
- Ensure clients remain compliant with medical treatment and follow-up appointments.
- Maintain detailed and accurate case notes in Filevine and other firm systems.
- Cook with attorneys, paralegals, medical providers, and insurance adjusters regarding case status.
- Provide outstanding customer service and maintain high client satisfaction.
Litigation Support
- Draft complaints, answers, discovery requests, discovery responses, subpoenas, and standard motions.
- Aid attorneys with trial preparation, hearing preparation, and mediation packages.
- Prepare, proofread, format, and finalize pleadings and other legal documents for filing.
- Draft and coordinate non-party discovery requests.
- Monitor service of process and communicate with process servers.
- Prepare correspondence related to litigation matters.
- Coordinate deposition scheduling, notices, and litigation calendars.
- Manage hearing dates, mediation deadlines, discovery deadlines, and trial schedules.
Court Filings & Deadline Management
- Calculate and calendar court deadlines in accordance with state and federal rules.
- File pleadings and legal documents in state and federal courts.
- Stay current with court rules, filing procedures, and litigation requirements.
- Communicate with court personnel regarding filings and case status when necessary.
- Manage hearing dates, mediation deadlines, discovery deadlines, and trial schedules.
Medical Records, Claims & Case Documentation
- Obtain police reports, medical records, billing statements, liens, and insurance documentation.
- Review and organize case files, evidence, and supporting documents.
- Draft and send Letters of Representation (LORs) and Letters of Protection (LOPs).
- Coordinate with medical providers and insurance companies regarding treatment and balances.
- Follow up on declaration pages, policy information, MedPay benefits, and lien reductions.
- Ensure all electronic case files and document repositories remain organized and updated.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain electronic filing systems and case management software.
- Aid attorneys with legal research and special projects.
- Ensure files, correspondence, and case documents meet firm quality standards.
- Cook incoming calls, emails, faxes, and legal correspondence.
- Support operational efficiency while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of personal injury litigation experience.
- Experience handling personal injury cases in both pre-litigation and litigation stages.
- Strong understanding of: Complaints and pleadings, Discovery process, Depositions, Motions practice, Court filing procedures, Litigation timelines and deadlines.
- Experience drafting: Complaints, Discovery responses, Discovery requests, Subpoenas, Standard motions and responses.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- High level of professionalism, accountability, and initiative.
- Preferred: Experience using Filevine or similar case management software, Experience with Georgia personal injury litigation, Trial preparation experience, Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
